How this list is ordered
We do not publish a single composite score, because a score hides the trade off. A valet service that never lets you visit is excellent for a Marina studio and useless for a business that ships stock weekly. Instead we rank on five things a person actually filters on, and we say which one each operator wins.
A price you can read before you call
Operators that publish a full tariff rank above operators that publish a starting figure, which in turn rank above anyone who only answers with a quote form.
Climate control on the unit, not the building
Several facilities advertise climate control and then apply it to selected bays. We check whether the specification covers the unit you would actually rent.
Whether you can get in
Round the clock biometric entry counts. A gate that opens when a guard is on shift does not, and a valet model cannot offer access at all.
Coverage across the city
What counts is districts covered, not branches opened. Two sites three kilometres apart serve the same drivers as one. This is the single place where Vachi loses points, because both of its sites are in Al Quoz.
Whether they come to you
Included pickup changes the cost of a move more than a fifty dirham difference in monthly rent, so collection counts as a ranking factor rather than a perk.

Where are storage facilities located in Dubai?
Almost all of them sit in three industrial belts: Al Quoz Industrial Areas 1 to 4 in the centre, Dubai Investment Park and Jebel Ali to the south west, and Dubai Industrial City further south. Zoning rules keep warehousing out of residential districts, so there is no self storage inside Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina or JVC. Jumeirah Lake Towers is the single central exception.

Do I need climate controlled storage in Dubai?
For anything with wood, leather, paper, canvas, electronics or fabric, yes. Dubai summer warehouse temperatures climb well past 45 degrees and humidity swings are the real damage, not the heat alone. Most reputable operators now offer climate control, but several only apply it to selected units, so confirm it covers the specific unit you are renting rather than the building.
Which Dubai storage company will collect my things?
